NEW!!  Easter Mini.  Always wanted to try a stage race, but found them a bit too long, hard and scary?  Well, we know how you feel.  That's why we've created the Easter Mini.  Shorter stages each day taking in the pick of the tracks.  Around 20 km each day.  This is your chance to give it a go in a friendly, supportive environment without all the stress of the big race.

Three days, three uniquely different stages.  You'll be racing in the cool of morning, so expect about 15°C to start, warming up to a very lovely 25-30°C in the afternoons.  Magic!

Stage 1 - Saturday 31 March.  Elite Long Stage and MTBA National XCM round 3.  75 km, 800 m climb.  What a course!  This has a blend of 4wd and single track to make you weep.  With joy.  Fast and flowing it starts with about 10 km of double track and a few hills to let everyone sort themselves out.  Then it goes into our famous West Side tracks taking in the best of the west: West MacDonnell Ranges and Hell Line tracks before crossing over to East Side and some of most fun single tracks around.  We're keeping a mix of fire trail and single track to make it easy to eat and drink as you go and give plenty of chance to overtake if you're feeling up to it.  Course record 3.:22:44, Brendan Johnston, 4:13:10 Jenny Blair. (30% 4wd, 70% single track).

All non-elite riders will have a slightly shorter course of about 58 km.  If you're riding one of these classes expect 3-4 hours of fun on the tracks.  Course record: 3:20:11, Paul Standish, 3:24:45 Georgina Landy

Stage 2 - Sunday 1 April.  24 km, 300 m climb.  Expected winning time 75 minutes.  We've picking a mix of our best technical tracks for this stage.  It will be a different style of riding.  A bit slower than the fast flowing Stage 1 with a whole heap of really fun rock features to ride over and some more twisty stuff. And even a bit of sand.  Yep! #bringbackthesand. If Saturday is a day which favours the pedallers, today will be a day which favours the technical riders.  It should be a great mix to let everyone show their strengths on the mountain bike.  Don't worry though.  Everyone will be able to get around this stage without too much trouble.  Course record 1:09:29, Brendan Johnston, 1:24:43 Jenny Blair. (12.5% 4wd, 87.5% single track).

Stage 3 - Monday 2 April.  Fun flow fun.  37 km, 350 m climb.  Expected winning time 90 minutes.  We're saving the best to last.  Our very most fun and flowing tracks.  Starting with about 5 km of fire trail to sort yourselves out you then go into a fairly flat and fast series of single tracks in a big loop around the Telegraph Station reserve.  This day will have the pick of the pick of our most fun tracks, with some absolutely fantastic descents.  Your cheeks are going to be the sorest muscles this day from all the smiling!  Course record 1:23:19, Brendan Johnston, 1:38:01 Jenny Blair. (20% 4wd, 80% single track).
